Urban Wine Tour -- aka Wine Street Crawl

A little known secret that Santa Ynez doesn't want you to know is the fact that you can wine taste six wineries without getting in your car. In fact if you have good walking shoes, all six are actually within easy walking distance of one another within the downtown Santa Barbara area. If you get tired, lazy, or tipsy, you can take the free (25 cents) electric shuttle up to Margerum Wine Company (Intermezzo) at 813 Anacapa Street. But otherwise, you can walk from one to the other.

Many of these wineries will even deliver your purchases to your hotel so you don't have to carry them to the next winery on your list. This is super inside information, so thank your lucky stars you read it here first.

Kalyra is made by the former winemaker of Buttonwood and is an excellent, tasty wine. Try the Dessert wines. The others, you will have to try and get back to me.

Enjoy a glass for me. Tell the wineries that Senor Savvy sent you.
