Golfing in Santa Barbara & Goleta

The best golfing in Santa Barbara is technically in Goleta: Sandpiper Golf course along the ocean. Sandpiper is the Pebble Beach of Central California. This course is public and owned by Ty Warner (Beanie Baby King). Ty has methodically acquired the best courses in the surrounding area including: Glen Annie Golf Club, Montecito Country club and Rancho San Marcos to name a few. Twilight rates at Sandpiper are decent at $84 weekends and $69 weekday.

While Sandpiper is the most well known, there are two wonderful hidden gems: 1. Hidden Oaks Golf Course (9 hole) http://hiddenoaksgolfsb.net/ and 2. Santa Barbara Golf Club owned by the city of Santa Barbara. SBGC is my favorite course and for the money it can't be beat. (Shown in pictures above.) I recommend this to any golfer looking for an amazing value and views.
